Welcome Message

The Society of Actuaries of Indonesia (PAI) is proud to host the 2020 Asian Actuarial Conference (AAC), themed “Actuary 4.0”, which will take place in Bali, Indonesia from 20 to 22 October 2020. This is the 23rd conference that will be held in Bali with an expected attendance of over 1000 actuaries and insurance professionals from across Asia and the world.

Since 1981, the AAC has been one of the biggest events for the insurance industry in Asia. AAC is an annual actuarial conference held in rotating countries and location across Asia and Australia, where the attendees are coming from 40+ nationalities and host over 800 actuaries with practices in Asia and Australia. The annual event itself has the most Professional Development credit of two full days and a half across various topics and practice areas of actuaries.

The 23rdAAC in Bali will take Actuary 4.0 as the main theme. The theme Actuary 4.0 as it sounds familiar is nonetheless taken from the word Industry 4.0, which has a lot of similar properties. If we look at Industry 4.0 it means the fourth industry revolution, where it describes the trend towards automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies and process which includes the use of Internet of Things, Cloud computing, and Artificial Intelligence. The first industry revolution came with the founding of steam machine, whereby the second and third are marked with electricity and computer respectively.

Similarly, Actuary 4.0, as we abstractly define is the fourth generation of actuaries, where availability of cloud computing, cyber network and open source data processing software are easily available for everyone.

We are pleased to invite you to participate in AAC 2020 as it will not only foster greater professional exchange of current concerns and issues, but also provide premium networking opportunities for actuaries and leaders in our global insurance industry.

See you in Bali, Indonesia and be part of the Conference!
